What are the Different Types of Amino Acids?
Our bodies can produce many amino acids but lack the ability to synthesize nine specific amino acids. These are known as essential amino acids, which must be obtained through food and protein supplements.
The body produces 11 other amino acids, referred to as non-essential amino acids. Certain amino acids are conditional, meaning they become essential under specific conditions.
